Given that Lee Cronin's The Mummy (2026) is the first version of the classic Universal monster movie to feature actual Egyptian actors, it may technically be the most authentic. But when you consider how much of it takes place in Albuquerque while centering on an American family and taking inspiration from bog mummies in the UK, it's kind of a different story. On our latest episode of Spooky Tuesday, we're unwrapping all of the Evil Dead-esque dressings to get to the bottom of what makes this mummy movie different as we debate what works, what doesn't, and what's only there to gross you out.
